Our vision is clear: to create the most intuitive, feature-rich ballistics application on the market, seamlessly integrating the entire Applied Ballistics ecosystem of products. AB Quantum™ will be our flagship platform, driving the future of AB-integrated devices. It enables us to deliver innovative features to our users, transforming the way they use their existing AB-enabled products. The platform incorporates feedback from world-class shooters and hunters from around the globe to create the most comprehensive ballistics application available today.

New Features Overview

AB Quantum™ creates a new paradigm for ballistic solvers and integration with over 50 Bluetooth®-enabled devices. Groundbreaking features, including Weapon Employment Zone Analysis (WEZ), AB Spotter, AB LearnCustom Drag Factor (CDF), and expanded product support. Known for driving innovation in the field of long-range shooting, Applied Ballistics continues to push the boundaries with this latest release, offering transformative advancements designed to enhance the shooting experience. This update represents more than an incremental improvement—it delivers a paradigm shift in ballistic technology.

The latest update integrates the powerful Weapon Employment Zone Analysis (WEZ) into AB Quantum™, offering shooters a sophisticated tool for quantifying hit probability under real-world conditions. WEZ analysis employs a model-based, statistical approach to determine hit percentages for specific weapon systems against designated targets at varying ranges, taking into account real-world uncertainties.

To address the increasing demand for precision drag data, Applied Ballistics has introduced the Custom Drag Factor (CDF) Calibration feature. With recent chronograph product releases, like the Garmin Xero C1, providing low-cost accurate muzzle velocity measurements, such as the, uncertainty in bullet drag now plays a more critical role than ever in long-range shooting accuracy. The CDF function enables shooters to fine-tune the Custom Drag Models (CDMs) provided by Applied Ballistics, ensuring superior alignment with their specific systems.

For competitors or hunters, AB Quantum™ includes customizable Range and Multi-Target tables. This allows users to lay out the displayed information to exactly what they need to hit their target. After creating a range or target card, it can easily be shared via email.

Built with the future in mind, the new AB Quantum™ platform allows for continuous innovation. Here are the following features available:

Features

  • AB SpotterHarnessing advanced artificial intelligence and powered by the complete library of Applied Ballistics’ extensive resources—including all Applied Ballistics books, content from The Science of Accuracy website, and every white paper and resource ever produced by the company— AB Spotter will allow shooters to ask questions about ballistics principles, their gun profiles, app settings and AB-powered devices.

  • AB Learnoffers direct access to Applied Ballistics’ acclaimed educational content. Previously hosted on The Science of Accuracy platform, AB Learn is the company’s library of instructional podcasts and videos, now fully integrated into AB Quantum. This centralized learning hub enables users to deepen their understanding of external ballistics and optimize their use of AB Quantum™ without leaving the app, fostering a seamless blend of practice and education.

  • Weapon Employment Zone (WEZ)offers shooters a sophisticated tool for quantifying hit probability under real-world conditions. WEZ analysis employs a model-based, statistical approach to determine hit percentages for specific weapon systems against designated targets at varying ranges, taking into account real-world uncertainties.

  • Chronograph Integration – Connect Bluetooth-enabled chronographs – such as the Garmin Zero C2 and Optex Systems SpeedTracker™ – directly to the app and save the velocity data to rifle profiles.

  • Bluetooth® Device Manager –  Find and connect AB-enabled Bluetooth® devices quickly and send data between devices using AB Quantum Connect™.

  • The Custom Drag Factor (CDF) Calibration function enables shooters to fine-tune the Custom Drag Models (CDMs) and BC’s provided by Applied Ballistics, ensuring superior alignment with their specific systems.

  • AB Quantum™ User Interface – Take control of ballistic data and find solutions with ease using the new layout designed with one-handed operation in mind.

  • AB Quantum Sync™ – User gun profiles are automatically uploaded to an encrypted server to allow easy access for other devices and backup, providing peace of mind and security.

  • New Reticle Library – The AB Reticle library is hosted online and updates in AB Quantum™ automatically, providing users with up to date solution drawing for their favorite rifle scopes.

  • Customizable Range Card and Target Card Modes – The new expandable and customizable range and target card modes allow users to select what data to see for each Range or Target. Use the share function to send range and data cards in just seconds.

  • Group Sectors (Target Cards) – Lets you create Sectors, each containing multiple Stages with their own unique target cards. It’s the perfect tool for competitors and match directors to streamline match prep, stay organized, and easily share solutions and target cards with others

Simplifying Your Solutions

“Ballistics can be complicated, and it is our job to simplify what’s important so that shooters can hit targets,” said Applied Ballistics Chief Ballistician Bryan Litz. “The AB Quantum™ platform meets this goal and more. By integrating the ballistic solver with other support tools, shooters will have a complete management system to enhance knowledge and put rounds on target faster and easier than ever before.”

The acclaimed Applied Ballistics Bullet Library is a good example of simplification for shooters: it includes thousands of projectile models that have been built using Doppler Radar to create a Custom Drag Model (CDM) for each bullet. This library is a core feature of the AB Quantum™ app, giving users the fastest way to create accurate and precise solutions for any environment.

Users can find AB Quantum™ available on either the iOS or Android app stores.
