A Personalized Drag Model (PDM) provides the next step in firing solution accuracy by using radar measured and plotted drag coefficients from the shooters’ individual weapon system. An AB Engineer measures and records the key outputs of each shot through your personal rifle. The raw drag coefficient plot data is used to generate a downloadable PDM. You’ll then be able to download and use your new PDM on your AB device.
A PDM captures any subtle ballistic variables such as initial launch dynamic and the individual drag experienced by the bullet due to barrel twist rate and wear. Using a PDM facilitates the most accurate firing solution possible for shots into and through the transonic flight regime.
